I was thinking that I would get donations of books and toys from people around Park Slope to donate to kids in hospitals. I might also raise money to buy books and toys by making and selling bracelets. When people buy them, they will be supporting my cause.

My mitzvah project is helping prisoners in jail get books. 68% of prisoners did not get there High School diploma and since my torah portion is about giving to strangers I thought this would be a great idea. Prisons except a lot of the books they recieve especially hardcover since prisoners can hide things in between the cover.

ReplyDeletethe issue that we are choosing to address is animal abuse and abandenment in AMERICA...we chose this issue because we love working with animals and our old cats (sob sob) were from animal shelters and we really feel like we owe them a lot of our life happiness...! :)
here is a website that we found that we might be volenterreing at! (B*A*R*C*) they have roosters :)

The issue that i want to talk about is the environment- about all the cutting down of the trees in the Amazon especially just to make things for man- power plants, towns, houses, condos- and therefore i want to help make that stop. All the wildlife out ther need places to live, andd trees are living things too, so why should we sacrifice them for us?
ReplyDeleteThese are my sites:
